Profile


Nicole E. Billings practices exclusively in the area of family law, working with divorcing couples and never married parents.  Ms. Billings earned her Masters Degree in Social Work prior to earning her law degree from William Mitchell College of Law in 2009.  She has seven years of experience as a social worker, working primarily in the areas of child welfare and mental health.

 

Ms. Billings is Rule 114 qualified; she acts as a neutral for mediations and Social Early Neutral Evaluations (“SENE”).

 

 

Prior to joining Tuft & Lach, PLLC, Ms. Billings clerked for the office of Halberg Criminal Defense, working primarily on DUI and Theft cases.  As a student attorney, Ms. Billings interned for the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers; clerked for the Federal Immigration Court; clerked for Judge Salvador Rosas in Ramsey County; and practiced as a student attorney for Anoka County Public Defenders Office and with the Edina City Prosecutor.

 

Ms. Billings is an active member in the Family Law Section of the Ramsey County Bar Association, the Family Law League, the Ramsey County Family Court Pro Se Clinic, and the Ramsey County Volunteer Mediation Project.  Ms. Billings lives in Minnetonka with her ten-year-old daughter.  She enjoys running, cycling and swimming.  She also coordinates and participates in groups for single parents.

Ms. Billings was chosen to the list of 2012 Minnesota Rising Star attorneys by Minnesota Super Lawyers®.
